What is the Connect Share Collaborate Group?
Do you want to connect with like-minded people who are striving to change the way we talk about weight and support people living in larger bodies in Western Australia? Then come and join us in the Connect Share Collaborate Group.
The Connect Share Collaborate (CSC) Group provides a forum where people can come together to share insights about the current activity taking place in WA to improve care and support for people living in larger bodies, learn from each other’s knowledge and experience, and work together to build partnerships to bring to life the purpose, belief and values of The WELL Collaborative.
Who can join the group?
The Connect Share Collaborate group is open to anyone with an interest in contributing to system change in this space, not just people working in the health sector.
We welcome people from all backgrounds including but not limited to:
- People with lived experience
- Health professionals – public, private, community based, hospital based
- Subject matter experts in other related fields
- Researchers and educators
- People working in policy
- Non-government organisations
- And many more!
What is involved?
We hold regular (online) meetings to discuss the abundance of activity taking place in this space. The meetings occur approximately every six weeks. The meetings are entirely optional and easy to join.
Each meeting takes a different focus, and we encourage partners’ to raise and lead discussion. Some of our more recent sessions have been to share service offerings, initiatives in primary care, innovative research projects, health practitioner guidance in the clinical setting, lived experience insights and guidance, and linkages with like minded national groups and organisations.
Fostering connection and collaboration through the Connect Share Collaborate group supports innovation and efficacy and is a good way to get to know others, build networks, share ideas and input feedback to the valuable work being driven in this space across Western Australia and beyond.
