Obesity Australian and the Australian and New Zealand Obesity Society (ANZOS) have come together to create a joint position statement recognising obesity as a chronic relapsing disease process.

This position statement provides a definition of obesity which is in support of the World Obesity Federation’s statement. It creates a consistent message across key organisations. This statement will be useful to organisations working in the area of overweight and obesity.
